International Diabetes Camping Conference - 2021

Conference FAQ

Question 1: Do I need a paid Zoom account to attend the DECA conference?

No, you do not need a paid Zoom account to join the DECA Conference.  For best results, download the Zoom app to your computer desktop before the conference starts.

Question 2: With a paid registration, do I get access to all of the conference sessions?

Yes, thanks to a very generous grant from the Leona M and Harry B Helmsley Charitable Trust, the $25 registration fee gives you access to all of the conference sessions, networking and sponsored events.

Question 3: Are scholarships available?

Scholarship assistance is available to attendees who are associated with diabetes camping organizations in low financial resource communities. Write to terry.ackley@diabetescamps.org to apply for a scholarship.

Question 4: Will there be an opportunity to do a walk through of the conference?

Yes, there is a pre-conference walkthrough.  This will be held on Wednesday, February 24 at 3:00PM (EST). We will also be answering any zoom questions you might have.   To join, use this link.  The passcode is deca21(case sensitive).  We hope you can join us.

Question 5: Will sessions be recorded?

Yes, sessions will be recorded and available for viewing after the conference.

How can I meet up with my friends and colleagues during the conference?

This is such an important part of in-person conferences, and we've tried to facilitate this as best we can in a virtual environment.  You'll notice on the schedule that each day has multiple opportunities to join "Meet Up Networking" hours.  These are designed to be very informal casual spaces to allow people to meet up, chat, ask questions, share info with each other.
